AI Paves the Way for Strong Relationships Within Communities

AI NER Reaches Out to the City of Salem, Massachusetts, Paving a Parking Lot for its Fire Department  

In November 2009, AI Northeast Region repaved the parking lot of the Salem’s Engine 4 Fire House as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.

The project was initiated in a meeting between the Mayor of Salem, Kimberley Driscoll, Chief of Staff Jason Silva, and AI employees Scott Colby and Michael Hollow. AI at that time was actively reaching out through CSR efforts to establish strong working relationships with its neighboring communities. The project was then discussed internally among Roberto Huet, Ed Persicio, Bob Anderson, and Scott Colby.

After site prep work, the Asphalt Division put the finishing touch to the Fire House’s revitalized parking area. Once underway, the project was completed within two days.

AI is proud to be part of their host communities and pave the parking lot for the City of Salem and the firefighters who work at Engine House 4. It was a great opportunity to give back to the community and strengthen the relationship with the City.
