The Newseum — a 250000-square-foot museum of news on Pennsylvania Ave., Washington DC. Aggregate Industries Takes Home Accolades at ACI Awards Company recognized by American Concrete Institute, National Capital Chapter, for four projects in Region Greenbelt, Maryland, May 12, 2009: Aggregate Industries was recognized by the National Capital Chapter of the American Concrete Institute at their annual awards ceremony for four projects in the Company’s Mid-Atlantic Region, which serves the Maryland, Virginia, DC, and West Virginia markets. The awards were for the provision of high quality concrete products to the Wilson Bridge (shown left), the Newseum (shown below), the Constitution Center and the Dumont Condominium Project. Aggregate Industries was awarded ACI’s top honor, the Award for Excellence, for each project recognized. Tommy Thomas, Sales Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region was on hand to accept the awards, which are issued by category to the project teams responsible for each project honored.
